MULE SLIP ONS & LILIES

Paresa Kouhestani

Hello darlings! Hope this post finds you doing well! Over the past couple months I've been seeing a new trend in footwear and wanted to get in on the trend. Mules (slip on's basically) are taking over the black flats game and I'm so excited to share this trend with you! Mule style shoes are basically closed toe and open back flats. Like I said before I've been watching this trend for a while, but have only seen people wearing gorgeous (but expensive!) styles and couldn't find a cheaper alternative. Of course I loved this Prada version the moment I saw it, but it's totally out of my price range! I've spent the last couple weeks searching for an affordable AND stylish alternative and came across a couple options all under $60!!

The pair I'm wearing are from SheIn, but I've found a couple other options below! I kept it simple with the styling by wearing my (new and fave) high-ankle jeans from W Boutique in Denver, a basic blush top, and this gorgeous flower bouquet from Trader Joe's. They legit have the best flower selection and they last for SO LONG! Trust me! I've gotten roses from that lasted 3+ weeks with very little care! Enjoy and don't forget to check back next week for the newest Weekly 10 post!

FAVE COLORADO BOUTIQUES

Paresa Kouhestani

Hello darlings! Hope you are all doing so well and enjoying the first official month of Spring! It's hard to tell it's Spring here in Colorado because we usually get most of our snow and rain during March and April, but it's all good! I've been finding some really great local boutiques while exploring the Colorado Springs and Denver metro areas and thought I would share my faves with you! For the most part they are all women's wear focused, but as I find more I will keep adding to the list! Enjoy and happy shopping!

Barracuda Bazaar

2603 W Colorado Ave // Instagram: @barracudabazaar

Located in the heart of Old Colorado City, Barracuda Bazaar has been around for a while! I remember shopping here for stylish (and affordable) sunglasses since my middle school years! It's a fun and quirkier version of Francesca's with lot's of graphic tees, beautifully patterned dresses and the funniest refrigerator magnets.

ERBN boutique

2520 W Colorado Ave // Instagram: @erbnboutique

I recently came across this boutique when I went to a nearby french bakery for some croissants. I walked in and it immediately felt different from every other boutique in Colorado Springs! I loved it! Not only did they have a wide variety of stylish pieces, but everything retails for UNDER $50! No joke! It doesn't get any better than that! In addition to clothing, they also sell accessories, shoes and some home good items!

EVE'S REVOLUTION

1312 Colorado Ave // Instagram: @evesrevolution

Eve's is another place I've been going to for years! A little off the beaten roads of Old Colorado City, this bright-pink-home turned local retailer offers luxury fashion at moderate prices. There's usually a good mix of wholesale and consignment options at Eve's and lots of fun little finds! They carry fun sunglass styles, the best smelling maple syrup candles EVER and trendy statement pieces. Not to mention their sale section is always huge! Who doesn't love a good sale, am I right??

W BOUTIQUE

1071 S Gaylord St // Instagram: @wboutiquedenver

W is the perfect mix of basic staples and that pop of color every girl always needs! W focuses on bringing the West Coast colorful chill vibes and the East Coast girlboss vibes to Colorado. I love everything they carry in store and their accessories are so on point! They also always have private shopping events with cocktails--who doesn't love cocktails and shopping?! With everything retailing for under $100, you can't go wrong shopping this branch of Wish Boutiques local to Denver.

VELVET WOLF

2550 W Main St // Instagram: @velvetwolfboutique

I'll be the first to admit I found Velvet Wolf from my discover page on Instagram, but I'm so glad I did! Velvet Wolf, now with a couple locations, carries spunky graphic tees, fun and vibrant athletic wear and the best basic necklaces you will ever find! I love when local boutiques show their love for Colorado and Velvet Wolf doesn't disappoint with their accessories! When I found this Colorado flag necklace (first image pictured above) I knew I needed it and now I never take it off! And they offer color options in their jewelry! Rose gold, silver AND gold! So perfect, right?!

PATTERNS AND POPS

1620 Platte St // Instagram: @patternsandpops

I first found Patterns and Pops from their fashion truck, but they have now opened a brick and mortar location and it's lovely! I'm usually not a big patterns person, but they choose the best tops and dresses because the patterns aren't too flashy, but still bold! It's the ultimate girly girl boutique and it's in such a lovely area of Denver to just walk around, enjoy breweries and eat delicious food!

DENIM & POMEGRANATES

Paresa Kouhestani

Hello darlings! Hope you all are having a lovely week! Last weekend I asked a friend if she wanted to explore the RiNo (River North) neighborhood of Denver with me. The lovely friend that she is, said yes, and I started researching! I was able to find some pretty amazing images of RiNo street art from Instagram and Google Images. I also found a new(ish) market that is (slightly) similar to Chelsea Market or Urbanspace Vanderbilt in NYC and immediately thought, YES! I've been hoping Colorado had a market like this somewhere!

Off we went on our adventure to try some local Colorado food at Denver Central Market and find some gorg street art! DCM has different food and drink vendors including seafood, Italian, burgers, bakeries and cafes and it's so chill--and so affordable! I loved the neighborhood because it still felt like you were in the city, minus the massive amounts of people! Right behind DCM, there's a three-block-long alleyway covered in colorful street art- perfect photo shoot location! Including some amazing Stranger Things inspired artwork that I'm completely obsessed with!

After exploring that area we ended walking to the western end of the RiNo neighborhood and stumbled upon the grand opening of a group of restaurants and shops with free champagne, snacks and music. The weather was so beaut and it was so nice to enjoy and celebrate outside! After exploring the RiNo area, we popped over to the opening of local boutique Patterns & Pops which was also so much fun! Trendy clothes, photo-booths, wine, desserts, what more could you want?

DaP 5.jpg

Because we were going to be roaming around for a while, I wanted to style an outfit that was comfy and lightweight because the weather was so gorgeous! I also wanted to wear something that didn't leave my skin super exposed to the sun (#palepeopleprobs). I don't know about the rest of you, but Persians LOVE their pomegranates, so once I found this light denim button down with pomegranate detailing on the back, I knew I needed it! I was worried about the wash of the denim, because, as you all know, I love my black! It ended up working out really well once I figured out what jeans and shorts I could pair it with! I ordered a small at first, but the shoulder fit was a bit tight for me so I ended up ordering a medium instead and it was perfect! Not only is the length amazing, but the fabric is light enough to wear it through every season!

I paired the Zara top with my trusty Topshop black skinnies, blush pink velvet Steven Madden flats, and Dior sunnies. Enjoy!
