A couple weeks ago I saw the critically acclaimed film La La Land starring, the ever so lovely, Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling. From the moment they started posting photos from the film last summer, I knew it was a film I was excited about. Before seeing the film, I knew it was a modern day musical and there was a lot of buzz about it. I purposefully tried not to research it too much because I didn't want to have really high expectations and then not like it.
Most of the music in the film, to my surprise, is centered around jazz music. I'm a massive fan of jazz! I love sitting in jazz clubs, drinking cocktails and just listening to the music. It's so fab! I've always told my friends that I wish I was born into a different era because I would love to experience Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald and Rosemary Clooney in their prime!
I can't tell you how many times I have listened to the La La Land soundtrack on Spotify all the way through. It's probably around 50 times! The music is just so amazing! You know how you can just listen to a film score and it doesn't remind you of anything expect happiness? That's what this soundtrack does for me and I don't think any other film has done that for me since the Harry Potter soundtracks! I HIGHLY recommend you see the film first and then you'll fall in love with the music and listen to it all day like me!
