It’s that time of year and I am SO excited! Like most of you, I spend my evenings watching TV--whether that’s bingeing on Friends or Gilmore Girls re-runs on Netflix or trying to find something interesting on cable. Let me tell you, I have been struggling these last couple weeks waiting for the Fall TV season to begin! I wanted to share with you the new shows I am excited to start! Make sure to check back after they premiere to see my thoughts and ratings of each pilot episode!
THIS IS US
Premiere Date: Tuesday, September 20
Familiar Faces: Milo Ventimiglia, Mandy Moore, Sterling K. Brown
Rating/Review: 4.7/5 --I originally wanted to watch the show mainly because Milo Ventimiglia was in it, but after the series premiere, I'm hooked! I don't know how NBC and everyone on social media kept the ending of the first episode a secret, but I definitely didn't see it coming and I can't wait to see what the rest of the season has to offer
Premiere Date: Wednesday, September 21
Familiar Faces: Kiefer Sutherland, Kal Penn
Rating/Review: 4.5/5-- OMG!! In the first 10 minutes of the show I knew this show would be so fantastic! I don't usually get chills watching a show, but I did watching the premiere--a couple of times. To think something like that could actually happen to the President is actually terrifying, but I'm excited to see where the season goes and I'm glad to see Kiefer Sutherland back on TV!
Premiere Date: Thursday, September 22
Familiar Faces: Piper Perabo, Daniel Sunjata
Rating/Review: 3/5--I was a little disappointed with the first episode. I was intrigued by the premise for the show, but for some reason it didn't play as seamless as the other pilots I have seen so far. The acting, the camera work, the script wasn't up to par, but I will continue to watch to see where the writers take the show.
Premiere Date: Friday November 4
Familiar Faces: Jared Harris, John Lithgow, Claire Foy
Rating/Review: 4.5/5--Oh my god-- I watched the first episode and all I can say is YES YES YES! I am SO incredibly excited to binge this show! I love everything about England and the Royals (obvi), and this feels like a good mix of history and Hollywood. The cinematography is so beautifully captured and the score (music) is so amazing! Not to mention to actors chemistry is fantastic! For fans of Sherlock or Downton Abbey--you'll love this new series!
TIME AFTER TIME
Premiere date: TBA
Familiar Faces: Freddie Stroma (yes, he's the hottie from Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince)
