As most of you know, I am OBSESSED with Harry Potter! I have read the books of course several times, I've seen the films at least 20 times each, and I've visited the set in London. When J.K. Rowling announced she was writing the script for a play that would continue the story, I was obviously excited, but also worried. Like me, several people grew up on these books and films and I loved how the 7th book finished the story. Also, if I know J.K.- the play would only be produced in London and tickets would be next to impossible to get by popularity and price (similar to Hamilton tickets on Broadway). Then when she announced she would be publishing the entire script--I completely lost it!
My sister and I happened to be home in Colorado the weekend it came out and we rushed to Barnes & Noble to pick up a copy. We were flying home to D.C. the next day anyway, so I secretly hoped my sister would finish it quickly- and she did! I feel confident telling any HP fan-you will be happy to continue reading about Harry, Ron, Hermione and their families. Sure, it's formatted differently from the original seven books, but if you're like me, you've been having Harry Potter withdrawals since 2011 when the final film was released, so this book totally hit the spot!
